This is a story of a couple who has a poor living. They had child named Tita. Tita was little girl who wanted to have an apple. And because of that apple, everything was changed. Mario was about to enter their house went his wife Gloria noticed him. Gloria called him and asked for a money to buy a food for Tita. Mario has nothing to give that's why Gloria started to murmur. He told his wife that he did not recieved his salary for the week. After a few fight, Gloria found that Mario was kick-off in his work. He told her that he was kick-off because he took one apple for Tita. Later on, Pablo came in and looked for Mario. Gloria was mad seeing Pablo cause she knew that Pablo was Mario's old pal who taught him how to steal. Pablo and Gloria fought because Pablo insist that Mario came to him to asked for help. Gloria could never accept it and so she asked Mario. Mario told her that living with honesty can kill both of them including their child. Dishonesty is the only hope that can save them from their worst nightmare. Mario and Pablo left the house while Gloria cried beside Tita not knowing if her husband can still return to them or not.
Five years of bitterness have passed. Five loud knocks were heard on the door. His mother ran to his father's side pleading. He pulled his father's arm but he did not move. It seemed as though his feet were glued to the floor. The door went bang and five ugly beast come barging in. They pulled his father roughly away from them. They followed them mile after mile. Then suddenly they heard a voice call. They saw his father hanging on a tree. He had been badly beaten after he died. Everything went black. The next thing he knew he was nursing his mother. They heard the church bell ringing. It was a sign for them to find a shelter.Suddenly, bombs start falling, airplanes were roaring overhead, canyons were firing everywhere. His mother was hit. He took her gently in his arms and cried. He cried for vengeance. He heard his mother's last word saying "Vengeance Is Not Ours, It's God's."
